NORTHERN LIGHTS

IMMERSIVE SHOW

To recount Canada’s history in the most grandiose manner, to do so on a 30-storey high building, and in the process become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the capital: such was the triple challenge issued to TKNL prior to the production of Northern Lights.

Displayed on the facade of Parliament’s Centre Block, this epic journey uses spectacular means to take the visitor into the heart of Canada’s history. Highly sophisticated tools–from lasers and interactive devices to lighting, sound, projection, and the latest digital technology–served in bringing this inspired artistic creation to life. More than a mere sound and light show, Northern Lights draws inspiration from the setting: the monumental architecture of the Parliament buildings, the Memorial Chamber honouring the heroes who gave their lives for their country, and the Parliamentary library, guardian of the nation’s memories, which miraculously survived the 1916 fire.

The show is one of the most viewed attractions in the country, breaking attendance records every year.
